Manage Mental
I have to just quickly say that I don't think I've ever been so rudely addressed as I have tonight by my 'manager'. I'm honestly 'hurt'.
I'm working a short Christmas stint at a Big-Box electronics franchise here in Canada. You know the one. Let's say it deals with shopping in the future tense.
Normally I mockingly take things personally with rabid enthusiasm merely for the purpose of comic effect. If you know me or this website you've seen the fun I can have. Though tonight I am utterly and completely offended by the treatment by the management. It's passive-abuse; a term I'm creating here for the first time ever.
They speak down to me like no other human has before. I am not exaggerating. This is the worst I've ever been treated in my life. Truly so.
I've been routinely addressed as one would a child who just shat directly into a DVD player and fed the dog Play-Doh and beer. Or, as close as one could approximate such an event. It's demoralizing and offensive.
I really have no punch-line in here. I'm just feeling completely and totally insulted. To be honest, it's the most offended I've felt in my life.
It's disgusting and I look forward to they day I can quit.

Sorry to hear people given such powers act no better than a monkey in our monkeysphere theory. It really does prove the point. Unless, the manager would say such things to her loved ones. Then I take my word back.
Maybe we all should band together, shop at a big-box where your friends work, make large purchases with warranties that can be returned and do just that. Return it all.
Let the ultra big boss at the top hound this manager about their sales - specifically the amount of returns. When you are that high up, you don't look at how much you make, that's a given; money already in your pocket. It's the returns that sting - money that you thought was in your pocket, and then someone came along and stole it off you last minute.
Once a person has desires, it's easy to piss them off. Royal.
Chin-up :) We are frontliners, and we actually live in reality. Let them be delusional about life, while we have, maybe not a whole lot, but a blast that everyone enjoys.
Spread the funny word, and the rage!
start carrying a bottle of apple juice with a cloth for a cap in your back pack.
when the manager really gets to you, take out the bottle, tell him it's a molotov cocktail & that he has 5 seconds to get out of your face.
as he runs away to call the po-po on you, simply drink the apple juice, discard the cloth & drop the bottle into recycling. When the po-po are there, charge the manager with wrongful accusation (harassment).
this should be done in an area free of witnesses & closed-circuit cameras. it becomes the manager's word against yours, and the cops can't do anything about it.
sure, your job is now forfeit. but i like to think of this as sweet sweet revenge. It also helps if you whisper in the manager's ear 'i know where you live, fucker' as you leave for the last time.
